Local Ingredients Pancake breakfast! Iron Chef Pie Contest! Fund Raiser and Food drive!
Celebrate local food and the fall harvest season at the Cowichan Green Community’s 3rd annual harvest festival on Saturday, September 25th from 8:30 – 3:00. This year the festival is moving to Charles Hoey Park in the heart of downtown Duncan and celebrates the move with a new name - the Cowichan Community EATS Festival (Equity…Abundance…Taste… Sustainability).

Start your Festival day right with a local pancake breakfast at 8:30am; but don’t just eat and run! Check out the Cowichan Green Community EATS Festival mini-market of local vendors, showcasing local produce, food products, as well as local hand-crafted goods. Peruse the market while enjoying a variety of musical entertainment and food related activities, and don’t miss the much anticipated 3rd annual pie contest! In past years the pie contest has been so popular that this year the EATS festival has added a mysterious new component – Iron Chef Pie.  For full details on the Iron Chef Pie contest as well as our Fruit Pie and Savory Pie contests, click here.

The EATS festival is a fundraiser for the Cowichan Green Community to support CGC’s many food security initiatives. It is also a food drive for local emergency food providers so please bring a non-perishable donation. Contact the Cowichan Green Community to reserve a vendor stall or to register for one of the pie contests.
