In the Sustainable Living Centre, we sell locally-made products that are geared towards helping people reduce their ecological footprint. From traditionally hand-carved spoons and prayer drums, to locally harvested sea salt, herbal teas and GMO free seeds; everything available here is geared towards helping people live more sustainable lives.

We are very proud to support local artisans and we also carry some great artwork and gift cards from artists like Forrest Boden, Robert Cerins, Francis Westerman and many others. Nearly 95% of the products in the Sustainable Living Centre are consignment items which means that nearly every purchase made in the store not only helps support our initiatives, but they also help support our local community of artisans as well.

Lending Library:

Alongside our local eco-minded products, we also have a wonderful lending library that is available to our members. Here you will find books and magazines on: gardening, composting, herbs, renewable energy resources, green building, natural crafts, cooking, wild ancient foods and even a few history books as well. Alongside our varied selection of books, we also carry resources, pamphlets and local publications that cover a range of useful topics.

We are always accepting donations to extend our library, and we sincerely thank all of you who have already donated your books for others to share. If you would like to become a member, please contact us at 250-748-8506, sign-up online or come into the Sustainable Living Centre and grab a new book at the same time! Membership fees are nominal, but our members are the driving force behind everything we do at CGC! Thank you!
