Bio

Born in Victoria BC Devon Featherstone’s artistic expression encompasses representational and abstract styles to convey to the viewer the beauty, colour, harmony and design found in nature. Devon’s intimate relationship with art began at a young age; her fascination grew as did her spirit. The art over the years has conquered and blossomed. While growing to a proficient self taught artist, she has been able to keep her childhood enthusiasm in tact.

Excelling in acrylic and watercolours, she has over the years expanded her impressive repertoire to include soap stone carving, sculpting and pastels. Her vibrant, lively, award winning pieces have been shown in group and solo exhibits, galleries, and restaurants throughout the Lower Mainland as well as Saltspring and Vancouver Islands.

From capturing the flurry of a fluttering bird to the brilliance of early morning dew glistening upon a flower’s petals; Devon’s art has covered a varied spectrum, culminating in transcending waterscapes that shine as the jewels of her collection. Her attention to detail is evident in all her paintings no matter how large or small. As a teacher she enjoys sharing the skills she has developed over her more than 30 years as a professional artist.

“Art is a flow, the tussle of creation and destruction beckoning poetry from the mind of viewer and artist alike” –Devon Featherstone
