Joint SPC and CGC Community Forum

On Tuesday, January 12th over 30 different community organizations from the Cowichan Valley converged during a joint community forum led by Social Planning Cowichan and Cowichan Green Community.  Social Planning Cowichan presented findings from their “Status of the Community Report” and held an interactive activity on indicator results ranging from housing to transportation to hunger. With a good understanding of the current state of the community, Cowichan Green Community asked attendees to consider the state of food security in the Cowichan Valley and collaboratively identify areas of major concern and actions that can be taken.

The event was a huge success and a lot of fun (both for the people attending and the volunteers). The CGC is looking forward to hosting more events such as this. Here are some pictures from that event:
