Permaculture Workshop
Following Percy’s speech, the CGC also hosted a permaculture workshop on Saturday, February 6th with a great turnout and an incredibly enthusiastic crowd. The workshop focused on the benefits of permaculture farming, as well as the principles and practices of consciously designed eco-systems. Complete with a green fair, a discussion panel, a delicious lunch provided by local farmers, alongside food mapping programs, this workshop was more than hope for the Cowichan Valley to become more sustainable than ever. Because perma-culture techniques actually mimic natural growing patterns, this workshop truly complimented Percy's speech and left all who attended feeling like new beginnings are just around the corner.
