Brandon Bauer with Javan Bernakevitch
Brandon Bauer - naturalist, organic farmer, biodiversity specialist, seed saver, herbalist, and soil scientist - teaches permaculture design at his homestead, Blue Raven Permaculture Farm. Javan Bernakevitch is a resident and permaculture teacher at O.U.R. Ecovillage whose passions include natural building, food production, fungi cultivation, and bee keeping.

Reinventing our World: Permaculture at Home and Beyond
Internationally recognized permaculture teacher Michael Nickels runs Seven Raven Farm on Salt Spring Island with his family, where he produces food, medicine, and practices sustainable forestry based on ecological principles. Michael has developed the Saalga Community Education Project in Kenya, a community-based reforestation program, and will speak to the elegace and resilience of permaculture systesms around the world.

Hands-on demonstrations, food mapping activities, kid's storytelling, and a Green Fair. Learn about the principles of permaculture and inspiring initatives happening in our community and beyond.
When: Saturday, Februrary 6th, 10:00am - 4:00pm
Where: Duncan Reformed Church located at 930 Trunk Road
Admission Fee: Adults: $45. CGC members and students: $40. Youth aged 13-19 is a $10 donation for lunch. Kids under 12: FREE! All admission fees include a full day of workshop activities and a FREE lunch. (Preregistration is appreciated and preferred)
